The machining precision is of the highest level "ABEC-5", the chrome steel balls are grade 5, with maximum hardness (R-64) and polished surface. Their silent movement on the 52100 alloy raceway (chrome, carbon, aluminum) reaches a very high level of precision. Please note that "MAX" type bearings should be preferred for suspension pivots.
A radial bearing generally used as a hub bearing and can be used as a pivot bearing, though the MAX-type version of this bearing is better suited for suspension use. This ABEC-5 bearing features deep-groove design races, with Grade 10 balls, dual-lip, full-contact LLU (grey) seals facing outwards to withstand daily abuse of use and the elements, and lighter-contact LLB (black) seals facing inwards to contain the 90% fill with high pressure water proof grease. C3 clearance specification is best for tighter press-fit bearing bores.
