Allows you to take various measurements starting from the top of the saddle where it is 80 mm wide - the ‘80 mm point’.
You can measure the height of the saddle, the distance between the saddle and the handlebars and even the distance the cranks are set back.
It's easy to use: place it on the saddle with the wings down and slide it backwards until it stops. Then, using a bicycle measuring tool to help you find the centre of the crank or pedal axle, measure to the point marked on the back of the tool that indicates the top of the saddle.
You can also measure the distance between the saddle and the handlebars. Hanging a tape measure from the back of the tool and extending it towards the bars will help you get a good measurement. If you wish, you can also measure from the front of the tool and add the 15mm width to get the distance to the 80mm point.
Finally, you can measure the indentation from the crank by passing a string through the V-notch at the measuring point of the tool and suspending this string with a weight such as a plumb bob.
