The block is a two-in-one bleed and service block, allowing the caliper pistons to be exposed for cleaning.
The block is similar to the bleed block, but with one side stepped, so that when you “pump” the brake lever, the piston is allowed out but is stopped before it exits the caliper.
Fit the block and pump the brake lever until the piston makes contact with the block.
You can remove the block and clean the piston.
SRAM advises not to apply liquid or grease to the pistons as this may cause them to stick.
‘Expose’ the pistons and push them back in 4 to 6 times using the appropriate CMH tool.
Reinstall the block in the other direction and repeat the process for the other piston.
