The easy-to-use MBP-71 tool sets the correct clearance between brake pads and brake rotor.
The two thin plates simulate the clearance between brake pads and brake rotor.
Follow the simple steps below:
- Loosen the screws holding the brake caliper to the adapter or frame so that the caliper can move sideways.
- Insert the caliper alignment tool between the brake pads and the rotor.
- Tighten the brake lever.
- While holding the brake lever, tighten the brake caliper bolts.
- Release the brake lever and remove the tool. Your brake pads should now be centered on the rotor with an equal distance on each side.
